SUMMARY:Bike to Kite Ride
DESCRIPTION:The Bike to Kite Fly ride routes nine miles to the Wayne County Fairgrounds. At Fairgrounds we may pick up more bicyclists and ride back to Elstro Plaza catching a bit of the Cardinal Greenway. \nThe bike ride is free as its sponsors make this a community event that all can take part. Ride is a nine mile route and a somewhat easy one only having 2 hills. The route takes a mix of city streets\, some turf\, and paved bike paths. Riders need helmets\, and water. \nAll riders can move at their own pace and are not required to complete the route. A sag driver with a trailer or pick-up truck will aid any in need with a free ride back to start at Elstro as well as Fairgrounds. There’s a 9:30 a.m. social hour at Elstro Plaza with free coffee\, tea\, hot cocoa\, and cookies for the first twelve to arrive.

DESCRIPTION:RSVP Here\nJoin Hayes Arboretum for this free\, family-friendly mountain bike ride through Hayes Arboretum. \nRoutes Route 1 – Mountain Bike Trails (weather pending)\nDistance: ~8 miles\nBike Recommended: Mountain bicycle\nDescription: We will meet at the East Side parking lot (corner of Hayes Arboretum Rd and Woodside Dr). From the trailhead\, we will begin on the Blue Trail\, and then transition to Yellow\, Orange\, and Red trails. The trails are clearly marked at turns and intersections\, but we will have SAG riders and stations along the route. \nRoute 2 – Gravel Ride (alternate route\, if inclement weather)\nDistance: ~5 miles\nBike Recommended: Either a hybrid-style or mountain bicycle\nDescription: We will meet at the East Side parking lot. From the trailhead\, we will pass through the tunnel that leads to the west side property and ride the auto tour trail (paved gravel surface) clockwise. This will pass back through the tunnel to the east side and ride the gravel roads counterclockwise (mostly small rock but some sections have larger stone). \nPlease RSVP for the event here.
