The Reid Center will host two back-to-back, evening events on Sunday, April 7: FREE arts & crafts for all-ages from 7-8 PM, followed by a ticketed screening of Little Shop of Horrors (1986) at 8:15 PM. Tickets for the film are $10. Part One: Community Arts & Crafts Event in The Great Room. The Reid Center has partnered with Richmond UEA (Urban Enterprise Association), Project 1118, and AS Artefacts to host arts & crafts activities in the Great Room from 7 to 8 PM. A variety of guided art projects will be available for visitors of all-ages, including the construction and decoration of colorful eclipse viewers.
The Reid Center will also offer eclipse and alien plant-themed photo booths in the Great Room, hosted by Erin Lee Photography, providing souvenir prints. Guests are invited to wear costumes (optional).
Part Two: Enjoy a showing of the Little Shop of Horrors (1986) film feature in the auditorium. Tickets for the film are $10 and the film is rated PG-13. This community arts event is made possible in part by a grant from Richmond UEA (Urban Enterprise Association), as part of Eclipse of The Arts weekend in Downtown Richmond. Other Eclipse of The Arts participants include: Richmond Symphony Orchestra, Richmond Art Museum, Paint The Towne, Model T Museum, Wayne County Historical Museum, and Morrison-Reeves Library.
Drop-off: Drop off available at front door on North 11th Street, or by accessible ramp at entrance to alley, between North 10th and North 11th Streets off North A Street.
Parking: On-street parking is available along North A, 10th St, and 11th St. There is a lot north of the church accessible from the alley between 10th and 11th Streets.
