Join the American Discovery Trail Hiking Club for a hike through the early spring forests at Hayes Arboretum.
The hike will start at the Nature Center parking lot.
Hayes Arboretum is made up of 466 acres of woodlands, meadows, swamps, and streams which make it an ideal place to explore the wonderment of nature and to gain an appreciation of our natural heritage. The property contains 3% of Indiana’s old growth forest, as well as many acres of reforested woodlands.
The Arboretum’s Nature Center is housed in an 1833 dairy barn which houses exhibits on regional flora and fauna. In addition, the Hayes Museum is on the property which showcases the history of the Arboretum and the Hayes family.
